It is 37 DEGREES outside! 37 Degrees! At 11:45 a.m. on a morning in mid-November! 37 DEGREES!
I think I am now in a permanent state of shock. I checked the Weather Channel from both my zip code on the Tennessee side and the newspaper’s zip code on the Virginia side. Both said the same thing.

I went and plugged in my mother’s address in Montgomery to see what the temperature was in Alabama. 54 degrees.
This is going to be a long winter.
Oh well. At least I’ll have a cable modem to keep me warm! :-D
Yup! That’s the truth! I can finally have cable Internet at home! Apparently the Supreme Court ruled last year that you can’t force people to subscribe to cable TV in order to get cable Internet. So Charter is coming out to my apartment on Tuesday to install my service. Free installation and $30 a month until May to boot! Woot!
I will share my new e-mail once it becomes available. I THINK it will be mlavey@chartertn.net, but I’m not sure yet.
