Rants

As much as I love reading the Q9D forum, I hate the negativity that's been going on there lately in regards to the Inuyasha storyline. It's amazing how just a few people can ruin a good experience for you and that's what's happening. If it wasn't for [livejournal.com profile] moonphased and Patches and a few others, I wouldn't be reading the forums any longer.

Yes, I know that the Inuyasha storyline has stretched out longer than expected. Am I one of the few people on the planet who doesn't mind this? I enjoy the characters and half of the fun of getting to the end of the story is the journey along the way. I thought the Mujina chapters were excellent in showing how Inuyasha was forcing Shippou to grow up and make important decisions on his own. Now we've got a possible major plot issue arriving with Toshuu and people are complaining that nothing interesting is happening. Some people say to let them know when the plot comes back to Kohaku or Sesshoumaru, "who actually matter" they say. Uh...doesn't Inuyasha and Tessaiga matter? He is kind of the lead of the show.

I guess I'm just frusturated by the negativity that a lot of people show lately. I noticed that the forum folks chose Azumanga Daioh #6 as the best anime release of the month. I think that's a shame. I voted for the fourth Maison Ikkoku boxset. Granted, I lost interest after the fourth episode of Azumanga, but I don't like that it was voted the best release. Why? It already won for its first month of release. I wish the forum folks had voted for Maison Ikkoku instead because that series needs all the support it can get. It would show Viz how much the fans are behind them regarding the release. I shall try again with box #5.

I got my new desk with plenty of cat capacity and it was on sale too. I also picked up a really nice manager's chair that was on sale for $39, down from $79. And then when the cashier rang it up, it came up as $29! Sweet! I need to finish putting the desk together. I managed to get it up to the apartment by myself (nearly killing myself in the process) and put together half of it. Peekaboo's already lounged on it like a king. It's not complicated, it's just exhaustion finally got to me after24 hours of being awake and I fell asleep. Now I've gotten too much sleep and feel groggy as a result.
