Random Ramblings

I'm starting to walk around the Tennessee High School track at night. I've been twice so far and average 1.25 miles per trip - or 20-25 minutes of walking. The first night, I had to rush back home to do my DR stint, but last night, I just got too hot. I think I'm going to go later in the evening, like I did the first time. The track is lighted and there are people out there and police patrolling.
My time out there last night coincided with the marching band rehearsal. It was so weird to be out there and well...not be in the band. Three years after I've marched my last show and I miss being in band. ::sigh::
It's been an extremely busy week for me. I've gotten a good bit of overtime at work because of it as well.
I am now saving money on my Inuyasha habit! Right Stuf is having a 40 percent off sale on all of its Viz DVDs until the 29th. That means all the Inuyasha DVDs are knocked down to $14.99 each! Woot! I'm going to be ordering all they have that I don't - and that's mainly pre-orders for future DVDs. (20-23 and both movies.) That way, I'll be getting them $7 cheaper than what I pay now ($21.99). Not bad at all!
I went out earlier this afternoon to pick up a new set of drawing pencils, after I somehow managed to misplace the ones I purchased in Montgomery. For the first time, I sketched out one of my fronts and it turned out extremely well. It's a practice that I'm definitely going to continue. I hope I can become a better drawer as well.
After finishing my front, I noticed a feature on the Associated Press wire about the Selma mayor's race - about James Perkins facing some stiff competition for his job. My feelings about him are this - he's a nice man who tries too hard to please everyone. The result leaves him spread out too thin and has allowed holes to be punctured in his administration. Other than that...I just don't care about what goes on in Selma any longer.
