I went and did the female thing this morning - got some lipstick and mascara. More preparation for the TV gig. On Wednesday, they sat me in front of the TV camera and filmed me doing an onscreen interview. It was pretty cool. They pointed out some things that I do wrong and things that will help. Christine, the producer from WJHL, suggested that I get some lipstick and mascara. Actually, all women who appear on TV need lipstick, she said. The reason for that is for some reason, women look like they have corpse lips on camera. Ewww..... The mascara was because of my eyes. Christine said that when I talk about my stories, you can see my face and eyes light up. The mascara helps with my eyes. So I figured, why not? I now have a tube of lipstick and mascara in my journalist pack. It's not that hard to keep up with.

I chatted with Celeste and [livejournal.com profile] caligogreywings via Yahoo Messenger voice chat last night. Nicky's gonna cook dinner for me on my birthday! WAI!!! Her cooking is awesome. And Nicky, I was wrong. I last had your cooking when I visited in October. I remember that because you were already in your new apartment by then. [livejournal.com profile] shamaneyes, you better be there! I want to see all of you.

I got a set of rabbit ears for my TV. I can pick up WJHL crystal clear, and WCYB and the Fox station pretty well. That's all I need really. I thought about paying for cable, but not right now. I don't watch TV enough. What's so funny is that the basic rabbit ears from Radio Shack work a whole lot better than the ones from Wal-Mart.

Let's see, writing...I wrote chapter 31 of "Shikon no Go," and I may write chapter 32 today simply because I have a very sweet image of Miroku-sama stuck in my mind right now. [livejournal.com profile] cowgirled, I looked through your chibi-fic you posted on the community. I ran it through my word processor and tried to get it down to 100 words for you. Got it to 185. Ah well. I need to think of something for that next challenge as well.
