Well, I discovered a few more things my stomach really can't handle now that I'm losing weight:

  • Fried Chicken

  • McDonald’s Milkshakes

  • Krispy Kreme doughnuts

This, of course, is a good thing. I don’t need to be consuming this stuff and discovering that my tolerance for these things have plunged is especially good.

I had a pretty good weekend. I went and spoke at a Girl Scouts seminar for the media on Saturday morning, then spent the rest of the day reading "Divided in Death." [livejournal.com profile] aishuu, the book is AWESOME. Major revelations about Eve's father and Peabody and McNab do Jamaica! Hehehehe.... Definitely one of the best I've read in the series and worth the price of it going hardcover. I also visited Nora Roberts' Web site and discovered that they will slowly be reissuing the other books in hardback as well. Cha-ching! They got my money! The "In Death" series is one of the few that I think is worth the money to have in hardback, especially considering how much I read the books.

Although I'm starting to wonder what they're going to do about the past now that the revelation about Eve's father has been made. About the only thing left they could do with it is go into more about her mother. I love this series. I love the fact that this is a real marriage and not everything comes up roses for Eve and Roarke. They really have to work at it. They love each other and know that no matter how far apart they are, it’s the thing that keeps them going. Books don’t portray the reality of marriage enough and this series does a really good job at it, I think.

I LOVE the new AIM 5.5. Invisbility feature! Linked screen names! I am in heaven! I also got a microphone so I could do voice chat. It works out really well, especially on Yahoo. I can sit and let it go hands-free while I type, chase the cats, etc.

Chapter four of "The Twilight Struggle" is almost done. The only thing holding me up at this point is Sesshomaru. Grrr...stupid youkai. I spent a good chunk of Sunday watching Inuyasha, trying to get through the Shinintachi Arc. I watched 102-103 Friday and 104-110 yesterday. This is my favorite arc of the series so far, simply because they yank the characters everywhere. It doesn't have near the drama and tension as the Kyoto Arc does in Kenshin, but it's still a really good ride. Hehehe, Jakotsu’s my favorite out of the Shinintachi followed by the good Suikotsu. Now I see why the Kikyo/Suikotsu fans are out there. Well....::picks up flag and waves it:: Add me to them!
