Well, I spent last night being a bit lazy - snoozing off and on and playing with the new cable modem. My download time for an episode of Inuyasha dropped from three days to 15 minutes! Super SQUEE!

I wrote chapter three of “Shikon no Go” at work yesterday morning waiting for my pages to arrive. I think I’m going to have to get either a new desk, a new chair or both at home. I feel more comfortable working on stuff at work because my desk is set up differently. At home, my monitor’s really not at a comfortable level and it gets hard to see at times. Plus, it being the typical Wal-Mart desk, it’s starting to fall apart. ::eyes the extra money that will be in her paycheck::

For those who want to continue on, here’s some .
I think when I hit elecTriCity overload, I’ll work on chapter four. I know what I want to do, I just have to sit down and type it. The hard part is that the death of Inuyasha’s mother (Iyazoi) plays a big role in the chapter. However, we’re not sure how she died. I bet you this will be something the third movie addresses. So I could do one of several things: I could either...

a) Hold the chapter and use it for chapter 13 since the themes are close enough that the story could apply for either one. However, at the pace I’m going, I’m pretty sure I’ll reach chapter 13 before we get any spoilers of the third IY movie from Japan.

b) Change the story so Iyazoi’s death isn’t brought up in the first place. However, if I did that, I might as well not write the story to begin with anyhow because his mother’s death is the entire reason behind the actions Inuyasha does in the chapter.

c) I can simply not publish chapter 4 until after we get IY movie #3 spoilers (then again, I forsee certan death in my future if I did that.)

d) The chapter centers around episode 89 (filler episode where Kagome goes home sick.) Now, if Iyazoi died because of an illness, it would fit what I have in mind completely. However, if she died a violent death or was a victim in a battle, then I could change it around and have it center on episode 107 (Vol. 25, Ch. 244 in the manga). The overall theme of the chapter would be the same, just the circumstances different.

So, any ideas? I think I’ll cross-post this to the Inuyasha fanfic community group too.
