Fic Musings

savvyliterateLet’s see...I learned a very important lesson yesterday. I am attractive....to a weird 40-something year old produce guy at Food City. The guy kept hitting on me when I was at the grocery store last night. Don’t get me wrong, I was flattered, but it was weird! It was so nervewracking that I fled from the produce department without half the stuff I wanted to get and holding onto an English cucumber. I wound up buying the cucumber because I didn’t want to put it back.
I have discovered what six-hour car trips are good for....FIC PLANNING! I plotted an entire Rurouni Kenshin fic on my way back from Tuscaloosa and I’m in the process of writing it now. The first part’s at FF.Net.
For This Dojo's Honor
I also decided that I’m officially retiring from Sailormoon fanfic writing. Although I’ve not actively been doing so for the past couple of years, it’s still a huge weight on my shoulders. That is gone now. :-D I’ve accepted that I have two major fics I never finished: “Between the Darkness and the Light” and “Growing Up.” If I return to SM ficdom, it will be to finish those two fics alone. (Yes, I know there’s a few other fics unfinished, but they’re minor IMHO.)
As for “Senshi in College,” I do consider it a complete fic. The last chapter I did was a good point to end the series - and enough questions left unanswered to pick it up again if I choose to do so one day.
So now I will focus on my other fanfic writing: Mainly RuroKen and Inuyasha. I do plan on remaining part of SMRFF....I wanna go on the bus trip next year!
