Waiting and friendships

I saw this “Rose is Rose” this morning and thought it absolutely perfect to what everyone’s been telling me right now:

You can read other “Rose is Rose” comics at http://www.comics.com/comics/roseisrose/.
I am feeling a lot better this morning. I was chatting with a friend last night and said something I need to take to heart. You don’t have to talk every day to know that your friendship is intact. Just the knowledge that it’s there should be a great deal of comfort.
Thanks to the encouragement of that same friend, I read a book by Tracie Petersen last night. She’s a well-known women’s fiction writer. I enjoyed the book, but something struck me as being a little off. Everyone, for the most part, was so placid and accepting. There was the clear-cut good guys and the clear-cut bad guys. I think this was one of her earlier works. I liked it enough to go give more of her books a try.
I think I tore my alarm clock up this morning. Not only did I get to work an hour later than I planned, one of the bells has come loose thanks to me grabbing it when I was half-asleep. Oh well, can’t do anything about it now. It’ll just have to wait until I can afford a new one or maybe the odd clanging will wake me up better.
And the blue is back! WAI! Now I just have to cobble together a new Web site. I wish I could do the lovely stuff Anna does. I want to conquer Javascript and Php!!
