savvyliterateOh wow....guys, anyone who reads this and who knows what I've been going through lately, please pray very very hard.
I just found out there's a page designer/copy editor position opening at The Tuscaloosa News.
I saw the position advertised and I literally began shaking. I nearly started crying. I can't believe it. It's a chance for me to go to a newspaper that I truly want to work for. I immediately shot off an e-mail to the news editor of the paper, introducing myself and tracking down specifics he wants to be sent (number of clips, type, etc.), but mainly that was to establish communication and go "YOO-HOO!! HI!! I WANT THIS JOB!"
If I get this job, I can leave Selma. I can go back to Tuscaloosa. I can actually work 40 hours a week on good equipment and plenty of supplies. I can have days off. It would be awesome.
When I prayed a few weeks ago, this was something I really really wanted. I wanted a shot at Utah or The Tuscaloosa News. Now, one of those shots have opened and I'm going for it.
