Two days...

Wow, only two days until I get on a death trap...er airplane and head to Utah. Yeah, I know, nothing bad will happen, but still part of me worries a tiny bit.
I'm excited. I went and bought gifts for my hosts yesterday. Some candy from American Candy Company and some homemade jellies and apple butter. I need to go get something else tomorrow for two more gifts. I was telling this to Brian last night, and he said that I didn't need to get anyone anything. Well, it's a Southern thing. You bring a gift to your host to thank them for putting themselves out for you, then follow up with a thank you card about 10 days later. It's called being polite. My mama raised me right ;-)
I have a feeling I'm going to come back a changed person from Utah. I don't know why (and don't state the obvious), but I do. Then again, every new experience you have leaves you a little changed. I'm really nervous. I'm nervous about how my relationship with Ely, one of my best friends, will change now that she's getting married. I'm worried about lots of thing. And yes, I'm nervous about Brian. There's a whole lot of emotions and nerves going into that ballpark over there.
I haven't done so well on my eating. I've gained a pound back and because I'm about to leave, I haven't been cooking at home. I guess I'll go on really long walks while I'm out west. Girdle anyone?
I still have so much to do at work - two Lifestyles sections and the rest of Demopolis's pilgrimage ads to get out. See, I'm suppose to be working 16 hours in composing creating ads for our sister paper in Demopolis (which has the biggest B**CH running their ad department, her name is Evelyn) and about 35-40 hours in the newsroom. It's very rough. I collasped from the work last week. Oh well, I'll grin it and bear it until something else comes along.
