Denseness scares me at times
One of our ad reps just walked by and asked who the news editor was. Jen pointed him to Steve's office and I added that Steve wasn't in.
"Where is he?" he asked me.
"I don't know."
"Will he be back soon?"
"I don't know." Then I noticed the yellow late ad form in his hand. "Which paper does that effect?"
He glanced at it, then at me. "Bristol's."
If I was an anime character, I'd have a sweatdrop right now. "I mean what day?"
How can someone work at a newspaper and not know who the top editor is, not to mention that second little line of complete denseness. I don't think that as a Bristol Herald Courier designer that I would be interested in anything but that.

Thank you to everyone who's been sending kind thoughts and prayers about my family. Everyone is fine, minus some lost trees. I got the first call from my dad around 7 p.m. last night. He and Kathy currently have no power and they lost three trees in their yard, but they were lucky - they didn't fall on the house. But, they do have a generator, so they're better off than most. One of the houses on their street had a tree fall into it. He also told me that my brother was fine as well, just no power.
My mom called an hour later. Some shingles blew off her house and she has a leak in the roof, but other than that, she's fine. Her power was only out for six hours and came back on at 6 p.m.
As for here, the bad rains started coming in around 1 a.m. I walked outside while I was chatting with
kitesareevil and saw it coming down in buckets. When I woke up this morning, I could see where the wind had been, and it's still raining. But, Ivan's moving faster through the area than we thought.
