Different opinions

It's funny. Ever since shamaneyes and lelu made references to posting in their journals less, I feel like I've been posting in mine more. It's becoming a nice, daily ritual.

Jeff's worried about Hurricane Frances approaching Florida. He's part of the Red Cross in Knoxville, so if they get called down for diaster relief, he'll have to go. He's already made a sizeable donation that's earmarked for diaster relief. I said I'd go through my closet and find some clothing and canned food to donate.

Yesterday, I was pretty isolated doing my own work for the most part, so I didn't know about the hurricane. Yeah, ironic since I work in a newspaper, huh? I got annoyed because Jan does not want me to spend time on the redesign of Medical Watch, because she says it takes time away from her. The lack of support got to me, but when I vented to Jeff, he was more worried about the hurricane. I got mad at him for that and we argued for a bit before I stormed offline and went to the grocery store to cool off.

I apologized when I came back later and I could see his side to things. You know though, one of the things I really do love about this relationship is that we can argue and disagree. When I dated Lance, he always...just never had his own opinion. Whatver opinion I had, he just immediately acquised to. With Jeff, I'm with someone who's just as hardheaded as myself.

Though, I do admit that for an hour or so last night, I longed for a set of rosary beads and the ability to place the "osuwari" spell on Jeff.

I fixed tonkatsu for dinner and realized that I'd gotten too big of a pack of pork chops. I really do need to just go to Kroger's, which has an actual meat counter, than the Food City near my apartment. So, I'll be eating tonkatsu for the next couple of days. I'll probably wash the breading off one of them and feed it to the cats.

I proceeded to introduce deryka to some anime music and discovered that my Maison Ikkoku set II should ship from Right Stuf in the next day or so. Lately, I've been on a nostalgic trip with Sailormoon as I'm doing the SuperS boxset for AoD. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the Maison Ikkoku anime. The third boxset and the latest Inuyasha should be shipping too, including the first movie.

I also saw the Chinese scans for ch. 375, which I'll discuss under the cut...
