I swear, it's all [livejournal.com profile] calger459's fault.

Now I want Japanese food. Not the hibachi grill next to my apartment (though it IS good and I may actually go there for lunch), but REAL Japanese food. Katsudon, oyakodon, inari, sashimi, udon, soba, all of my favorites. I may go out when I'm done with this little story Earl and I have to go do on the local nursing home (who has the most INSANE woman ever for an activities director) and eat sushi for lunch.

[livejournal.com profile] cadaya was kind enough to let me sample some Cowboy Bebop music, and I found that I immensely enjoyed it. Another music search, thanks to some of the folks in the AoD Chat, led to finding some German anime albums on the iTunes Music Store. This included German versions of "Don't Make Me a Shrew" and "Little Date," the first two Ranma 1/2 openings. They sounded pretty good, especially "Little Date." I've got to find that song in Japanese.

[livejournal.com profile] caligogreywings made a comment in her LJ that referred back to my first post yesterday. I honestly don't think my view of the world is jaded. I just believe that my priorities have shifted. I have different priorities and concerns now that I'm out of school than I was when I was in school. The only reason the school complaints began to grate at me was that everyone in the communities I'm in have been up in arms over it, and so it got to me a bit. It's not even the college kids so much as it is the teenybopper high schoolers in the communities who overdramatize their going back to school as it being the end of the world.

I've really enjoyed [livejournal.com profile] calger459's descriptions of her first year of animation school. It sounds like where she is really, really rocks. All of her classes sound cool and it makes me lament the fact that I can barely draw a straight line with a ruler. Hearing about her classes sounds cool. In fact, your literature classes also sound cool, [livejournal.com profile] caligogreywings. That's what I miss about going to college. Ah well, maybe I'll go for my master's one day.
