...of people using LiveJournal communities to target and harass people that they've never met face to face. That is very high schoolish behavior. I'm not afraid to stand up to these jerks. They obviously have nothing better to do than sit in front of the computer all day and think of interesting ways to harass people. ::sigh::

In better news...

I'm glad to see the reports coming out of Florida that folks are okay. One of the more humorous stories comes from a friend who works for the Orlando Sentinel. She said that the power was out for only a few minutes, and that the city was working to clear out the golf courses so they would be back in use by this afternoon. Only in Florida. I'm glad to see that the state is doing its best to bounce back as soon as possible. Still, I'm glad that Jeff and I are destined to go to Denver and not to Orlando.

My latest addiction seems to be NCAA Football 2005 on the PS2. A few weeks ago, I asked Jeff to let me play his game. Now I am doing extremely well in it. I'm at the end of my first season and have only the SEC Championship and my bowl game left to play. If only the real Alabama football team could do so well...

There's a great used bookstore in Knoxville called McKay's. I went there again for the second time today. I picked up some texts on copy editing, the complete re-mastered Fantasia CD set for $6 and a CD for Celeste that she wound up already having. So, back that goes tomorrow. Then, I stopped by Target and picked up a new messenger bag for work (I've outgrown my purse) and a wedding present for our publisher's assistant. She's getting married to one of the anchors from WJHL next Saturday. It's being called the convergence wedding.

I also spent the day filling out my planner. I backtracked from my PDA down to a paper planner from Franklin Covey. It's a lot easier to see everything going on at my fingertips, and I missed writing stuff down. I noticed though that I really need to update some addresses. If any of y'all would like for me to have your addresses on file, please respond and let me know. I'm screening, then deleting the replies to make sure no one's information is leaked to the public.
