You can't get to Pound from Bristol
Enter day two of the week from hell.
I’ve got nine stories to write, two section fronts to do, the consumer page, ElecTriCity and whatever else I can do to help out Jan when Jen goes on vacation later this week. I spent yesterday afternoon in Rural Retreat and will spend this afternoon in Pound. I’ve got to fit in a trip to Kingsport and looking for more sources for my nursing home story. Thank goodness Steve already told me to take as much overtime as I need to finish up my work.
Jan keeps asking if she can help me, but I don’t want to appear like I can’t handle things. Finally I gave her the inside travel page to do. I came to work this morning and completed my Flavor story and wrote my column (this one on how credit ratings are now being used in determining auto insurance. Check out the article: http://www.motortrend.com/features/news/112_news40/). I go to have someone edit the column so I can toss it on the Consumer page before I leave for Pound....DESERTED NEWSROOM! Aaaauugh! Everyone except Steve has gone to SNPA classes, these traveling newspaper classes that they have down here in the South. I guess that leaves even more stuff more me to do when I get back this evening.
Hence, Steffie, why I didn’t stay up last night to edit your story. ;-)
On a good note - I get to do two section fronts! This is awesome! I feel like it’s Christmas. I love design, love it, love it, LOVE IT! I’ll post them up to my News Page Designer profile when they’re published.
And another good note - after looking around and finding a lack of quality Inuyasha fanfic archives, I am starting my own. Check out Scrolls of the Shikon! I got the Index page up last night and I plan on getting the other framework for the site up tonight or tomorrow night. So....submit stuff!!! Submit stories to shikon_scroll@yahoo.com.
