Books!

I finally parted with some DVDs I admitted I would never watch or that I would repurchase in boxset form because the boxsets are a lot smaller (Ayashi no Ceres and several movies.) So, with the money, I went to Barnes and Noble down in Johnson City and proceeded to have fun, hehehehe.

What made my night was walking in and seeing the newest J.D. Robb book, "Imitation in Death" on sale. What did I do? Snatched one of course! I stayed up until 3 a.m. this morning reading it. It ranks around the middle of the series for me. The mystery was good enough that it kept my interest, but wasn't quite as riveting as "Reunion in Death," "Loyality in Death" and "Conspiracy in Death." The personal sides were pretty much the normal with the addition of we finally learn something about Eve's mother. The parts I liked best was Peabody gunning for her detective's exam. It's amazing how wrapped up in these characters you become. The "In Death" series is now 15 books long, longer than a lot of manga series! There's also two novellas with a third coming out in September.

I am also working on my rewrite of "Love and Duty." I have the first two chapters up here: http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=456813

I'm liking the revision a whole lot better than the first story. I can't believe how much I've learned about writing in a year. The revised L&D is turning out to be a much better and bigger story than the first. I'm practicing a lot of writing techniques that I want to transfer to original fiction one day.

As soon as I finish getting a new HTML editor, I'll be working on my new Web site. Wishing-Blue's gone through a horrible time lately and I'm looking forward to it being online again. I am loyal to the Blue!
