What's the big deal?

savvyliterateI've had a few people ask me over IM what the big deal regarding the recent changes to LiveJournal are, like with this summer. This post does an amazing job explaining why the current changes affect users, and explaining the difference between LiveJournal and Dreamwidth.

And Dreamwidth is finally going to get community importing working! That means I can finally import the rest of my writing community to my main Dreamwidth account. I copy/pasted over some of the earlier work and everything I've posted this month, but this means I can do everything at once and just spend the rest of my down time tagging.
And if you are coming over from LiveJournal, here's a couple of tutorials to help you bring your journal layout along with you.
