Well, my package from Liverpool was safely delivered earlier today. Mike's already unpacked and is sleeping on the couch (Mr. Never Naps, ha! *takes photographic evidence*). I think this is going to be a learning experience for both of us. Excuse me. *pokes cat* All five of us. He's scared of messing up, I'm scared he won't be happy. I've integrated a lot of his things with mine, but it still looks/feels odd. I think once we get his computer and desk and get his corner of the living room set up that it'll feel more comfortable for both of us. It's just one day at a time, and I think we'll both be fine. It feels natural to have him here, just like always. My litmus test is being able to write with someone around. I can't do that with everyone. I can with Mike.
But, dang, we were a fine-looking couple at the airport. He wore his suit to surprise me, and I wore a dress to surprise him. I should have grabbed a picture before I tore the suit off. *hums* Then we did what every long-separated couple does ... collapse and take naps because neither of us got any sleep last night. Immigration was a breeze, and it turns out his passport serves as his green card until the real one comes in the mail. Sweet!
In the morning, we're heading out to Gatlinburg until Saturday. I really, really hope someone gets "Night and the Doctor" online before we leave so I can squee all over it.
