It's con time!
As soon as the Namesake single issues get in, I'm heading for Canada. It's our first con, and I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'm really hoping everything will go well at the border. It's not my first time driving in Toronto, so that's not a concern at least. If UPS delivers the package before 2-3 p.m., I'll head up tonight and crash with the lovely Adriana Blake, creator of Fall on Me, who's sharing a table with me and
secondlina.
We have two huge bags of chocolate we're giving away to folks, but I bet they won't last through Friday. I made the drive to Hershey today to pick them up, along with a much smaller bag of dark chocolate for us ladies and
earthstar_moon. I indulged in a cupcake from the bake shop at Hershey Chocolate World, and in the middle of consuming the culinary goodness, I heard a dull roar, and the floor shook for about 5-8 seconds. "Huh," I thought. "That's odd." Then, I went back to eating the cupcake. I flipped through Twitter on my cellphone and saw that it was actually an earthquake. That explained that. No one else around me felt it, but apparently the tremors were more noticeable at the Patriot-News and in Harrisburg. My decision last summer to bolt the bookcases to the wall was definitely a wise one, as there was no damage at all when I got home. Just the bird feeder was empty.
Anyhow, you can find, Isa, Adriana and I at table A106 in Artist Alley Thursday through Sunday. I'll be gone a little bit right at the beginning of the con to pick Isa up from the bus station.
If you want to see us, click on the cut and check out the map, done up by Adriana.

Namesake updates will continue as normal while we're gone. We'll have a con-only entry Thursday then a regular comic Saturday.
Meanwhile, I'm getting back in a Slayers mood. I finally read all of Slayers: Knight of Aqualord in English last night (scans + iPad = win) and was pleased that my rough Japanese translation was pretty close. I put Next on to watch tonight, but got distracted by talking with Mike and a special talk with my godson and his mom. I think it's time for a marathon!
