Finally! Almost done

savvyliterateI tackled the fanbook yesterday and today and have about 85% of it finished ... after I wound up having to do the entire thing twice.
I had put everything on the pages and was going back to figure out how I wanted to format the stories when we had some difficulty with the one Spanish story in the piece. Thankfully, Prettio was watching me Livestream the layout, and helped me reformat some of the text ... but then the entire document seized up. Every time I opened it, I got the Beach Ball of Doom. After about two hours of trying everything to fix the document, including installing the trial version of InDesign CS5, I had to concede defeat and start over. By 8 p.m. or so, I was finally finished with the main layout.
I'm not quite sure what happened, but all of the foreign-language text files got corrupted. Even![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
pip25's which was absolutely fine prior to that. I went back to the original email and it was also corrupt. I'm probably going to run some maintenance scripts on the iMac. I'd had at least one bad PSD file, but Ameban had sent me the good one. I also had weird issues with your photo, ichiban_victory, but I was able to open it in Photoshop and get a good copy.

theslayers. The only thing I need to do is figure out the section pages, do the cover (it involves doing calculations for the spine) and add in the corrections.
Mike only made one crack about my problems being because I'm on a Mac. *gives a quiet snort*
But, for now, I'm taking a break and I'm crocheting ... jellyfish! I finally got this jellyfish pattern and am making one out of white and blue yarn. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
