And once again, [livejournal.com profile] kikyounosorrow has emerged from the dredges of the Inuyasha fandom to show us why she gives those who enjoy the series a bad name.

It all started with this thread in the [livejournal.com profile] inuyasha community. She tried to chalk up the cancellation of the series to Kagome's constant "osuwari"-ing of Inuyasha.

So, as seen in the thread, I responded that she was in fact wrong - with a little gagging and choking along the way. Trust me, I was drinking some water at the time and I choked on it. I KNOW that the girl has at least some brains in her head. I've seen them emerge when she posts on other forums, including the Genvid forum for Live Action Sailormoon. For some reason, they seem to shut down when it comes to the Inuyasha fandom, and fans of Kagome in general.

For example, her initial reply to my response: "Why are you gasping and choking? You can't handle someone's opinion on your little goddess? The gag is old and everyone knows it."

The problem isn't her opinion about Kagome. She is a fictional character and a flawed one at that. Not to mention, she's not "my little goddess." For one, why would I worship an animated 15-year-old schoolgirl?

The main problem is that she purposefully crafted a post to bash a character that she doesn't like, and she probably knows fully well just why the anime ended. Her theories as to why the series ended do not hold water whatsoever and were only posted to show a lack of intelligence and a lot of spitefulness on her part. For an example of an intelligent opinion about why the anime ended, please see [livejournal.com profile] reiku_tokijin's response later in the thread. Those reasons are very valid ones. Considering that the final 21 episodes of the anime contained only four "osuwaris," I highly doubt that was the reason. Indeed, the producers have said themselves it's because they've caught up to the manga and want to wait for Takahashi to finish.

The next observation:

Why are you asking a question that you already know the answer to. They are the ones that started it. What's funny is how some of these obbessive fangirls will reply to this and get all up in a huff. I mean it's just pen and ink. No need to go nuts. :P

I can imagine their reaction if their favorite characters got earsed. Oh know

Okay, if you're going to diss me, please use your spell check. Thank you very much.

Her last comment was pretty funny, considering that she's the one who started the thread and other similar threads, such as a stats thread comparing Kikyou and Kagome, among other things.

Again, [livejournal.com profile] kikyounosorrow does have a brain. I have seen her use it on other forums. Just because she doesn't care for Kagome doesn't mean she needs to target their fans. There are some very valid reasons for not liking here, as other users have pointed out.

The funny thing is that at the same time this mess started, I was talking politics with [livejournal.com profile] missandrony. While our views are not the same, we still had a civil discussion, because we did respect each other's points of view. Not only that, but we also had valid arguments to back up each one.

If she had started a thread saying, "You know, I feel like Inuyasha was canceled because the storyline was dragging, etc." then that is a very valid claim and a good base for a constructive argument. Even if she had backed up her claims of Kagome's actions in the final episodes, that is another reason entirely. Instead, she doesn't at all. She made that post to show people just how much of an idiot she can be. The sad thing is that I've seen how smart and respectful she can be as well. Just a portion of her brain shuts down when it comes to Inuyasha fans - especially those who happen to like Kagome.

[livejournal.com profile] kikyounosorrow is quickly becoming the Inuyasha version of Princess Destiny. All she needs now is about 86 Yahoogroups to run.
