[livejournal.com profile] deryka pointed me to a post in [livejournal.com profile] cadaya's journal that pointed out the complexity of game music and how enjoyable it is to listen to.

Ironically, I've been glued to my iPod all day, using the music on it to get me through the day. I actually don't have any game music on it. The only game music that I own is the two discs of Rurouni Kenshin game music that came with my series music boxset.

But, I feel that game music and anime music share much of the same origins. I'd love to get my hands on some of the Final Fanasty soundtracks.

Here's what I have animewise:

- Rurouni Kenshin
- Inuyasha
- Sailormoon
- Noir
- Utena
- Read or Die
- .hack/sign and its various sequels
- Sorcerer Hunters
- Lupin III
- Vampire Princess Miyu
- Ah! My Goddess
- Cardcaptor Sakura
- Ayashi no Ceres (Ceres: Celestial Legend)

This music ranges from very pretty classical music to jazz and blues and even funky 70s style. There's something that will fit my mood at all times. I do want to expand my collection eventually. Celeste helped me out a lot with some of these, and I want to get some other series music like Twelve Kingdoms, Wolf's Rain, Fushigi Yugi, Kodocha, etc.
