I <3 "Angelus." It's officially uprooted "Grip!" as my favorite Inuyasha opening and as my favorite anime song. Poor "Half." It keeps getting thrown down the shaft. But, where else other than "Angelus" can you find the Shikigami Salsa?

My favorite anime songs are now:

1. "Angelus" (sixth IY opening)
2. "Grip!" (fourth IY opening)
3. "Half" (second RK opening)
4. "One Day, One Dream" (fifth IY opening)

My visit to Washington went off well. While it wasn't the best on me financially (or regarding my waistline), I learned something very important about myself. I'm no longer a Dr. Quinn fan. That, and Jane Seymour is really an Ice Queen. I can't watch the series without remembering all the pure crap that I've been through in regards to that series. I see an episode and think about the turmoil that existed behind it and I just can't let it go. Not right now. Maybe in a few years I can look back on it without feeling bitter or sad. That's when I'll repurchase the DVDs. Yes, I sold my DVDs (to help pay for the trip) and went no mail on DQMW-L. To be honest, I really want to change my pen name to get the DQ reference out of it. I just can't think of a good, new pen name.

I think this is a big reason why I like anime so much. You're not so fixiated on the people who play the characters, unless you're into the dub scene (which I am not.)

I loved Washington. I got to visit the WW2 Memorial, saw part of a concert on the Capitol lawn and went through part of the Smithsonian - the American History part. That thing is freaking huge. My feet hurt so badly from all the walking we did that I wasn't able to go over as much of it as I'd like to. I'm one of the people who like reading all of the information on something (especially pertaining to history), but my companions weren't. I did make it through the exhibit on First Ladies. That was terrific. Washington's only a five hour drive from me, so I definitely want to go back one day and keep touring the stuff I missed on Sunday.

I drove back and hit the worst storm ever. I should had pulled over, but I wanted to get home. So I prayed instead. I finally got into Bristol and headed down Volunteer Parkway when a cop turned onto the road and started driving alongside me. I wasn't speeding! He was making me nervous, so I slowed down to five miles under the speed limit. So did he. I regained the speed limit. So did he. I could not shake him and it scared me. Finally, I turned into the apartment complex and he turned into the Executive Plaza park across the street. I simply ran inside as fast as I could.

That was my trip in somewhat of a nutshell. I'll have pictures up soon.
