New duties

savvyliterateWow, this has been a long week. Three people were fired from our staff on Thursday, including the staff photographer. Thankfully, my job isn't in danger. In fact, my duties have increased! Four days a week, I'll be laying out ads part time in composing so I will learn that side of the business. I can legitimately have overtime now, but just five hours per week.
But, Maxine, the lady who has always done stuff like the weddings, engagements, school news, etc. is being moved out into the front area and I'll have to do all of that myself. Plus, I now have to update the website and keep the photo archives clean and running. Also, I still have my normal duties to deal with. So, I'm going to attempt to cram 80 hours worth of work into 45.
No wonder I seem tired all the time. Oh well!! I figure as long as I keep cheerful and energetic, I can accomplish anything!
