"Amelia's not feeling well, so you should make her feel better," Lina ordered Zelgadiss one day.

His brow wrinkled as he peered at Lina over his spellbook. "Is she ill?"

Lina blushed and waved a hand. "In a sense. Just go make her feel better."

"I can't make her feel better unless I know what's wrong."

"I think Lina means to say it's that time of month," Gourry supplied helpfully, and was rewarded with a slipper to the head.

"Gourry!" Lina hissed. "These are delicate matters!"

"What? So you girls lose your magic once a month among other things." He rubbed his head. "I don't see what the big deal is other than it makes you crabbier than normal."

"You can't be that stupid!"

Zelgadiss set his book aside and left Lina and Gourry to squabble like the old married couple they'd both deny they were destined to be.

Minutes later, he was outside Amelia's door, knocking, balancing a large bowl with a couple of drinks. She opened it looking cheerful, but pale. "Zelgadiss-san?"

He blushed, the offered his bounty. "I thought you might like these."

Amelia's eyes lit up. "How did you know I love strawberries?"

A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. "They're the one thing I always see you steal from Lina before she gets her hands on everything else."

Amelia grinned. "Want to share?"

The blush deepened, but he nodded.
