Wonderful idea for a Christmas story. It's a wonder the Doctor didn't get hurt calling River, of all people, a sucker.
And I love Amy thinking she'd finally broke him. LOL. And River saying she's allowed to not like things.
I also liked how casually River mentioned her other incarnations. That must have been really nice for the Doctor to hear, someone else talking about their other incarnations. Sort of homey for him.
And it was inspired to have her Melody incarnation not like apples, just like the Doctor didn't and just like Amelia.
