A good fit
As I mused on Tumblr, I think I've given up on being part of the Bones fandom. Nice people, but never really felt like I fit in there. I quietly dropped some folks from Twitter and kept the ones I actually talk with.
Now the Doctor Who fandom? I haven't been this happy to be among a group of fans since first entering the Slayers fandom in 2005. Granted, folks in the DW fandom have always been fantastic since I first became a huge fan of the show in 2008, but it's even more awesome now since I've gotten into the fandom more instead of just being along the edges. I actually have shows on my to-watch list including Merlin and Downton Abbey. I started Merlin last night, but didn't get very far because I didn't bring my headphones in with me. But, I've seen enough to know I'm really, really going to like it.
I did watch the season premiere of Bones when I got home from work last night, and I'm of very mixed feelings about it.
( Thoughts under the cut )
My iPhone 4S is suppose to be here today, but I'm wondering if I won't pick it up before tomorrow because of having to work. Even Mr. Linux over here is excited about my new phone (that's because it's one step closer to his Galaxy Nexus.)
So, funny thing about NaNo ... I've written approximately 4,000 words in the past two days on everything but NaNo. I wrote another Eleven/River one-shot, got most of the rest of "A Merry Chase" done and worked on Namesake. I have a scene floating in my head for if I take the fic one direction, and I kind of want to just for the reactions and the dialogue, but other than that, there's performance anxiety. Of course.
