I found my mouse! Computer mouse. :P

It was driving me crazy because I couldn't find it anywhere. I did find the felt books in a box under the bed, but I hadn't even used that little mouse yet. I finally looked under the seats in the car and found it beneath the backseat. Considering it was $20, and I'd never used it, and I literally only carried it between work and home, it was driving me up the wall. As a result, the living room is now cleaned and the floors completely vacuumed. The cats congratulated me by prompting hacking up a hairball. Love you guys.

In other weird home news, not long after I made my last post, I heard my downstairs neighbors suddenly banging on the walls, slamming the doors so hard it made the apartment shake and yelling at each other. Their subject? I think it's me. ^^; They were yelling about how "she" was doing something "all night long." My heinous crime? I stay up all night and walk around the apartment at times. Woo, I'm a terrible threat to society. Seriously, I walked from the second bedroom to the living room, the living room to the bathroom and back, then into the kitchen and finally the master bedroom. Oh, and I played My Little Pony on the laptop while I was sewing. They must have something against Pinkie Pie.

It's not my fault that a) they live under me and b) they're very light sleepers and c) at least one is military and needs to be up before dawn. Note these are the same neighbors that complained to my landlady because I shut the toilet lid too loudly for them. They can't call the cops on me. What are they going to say? "Officer, arrest her, she's walking around her apartment." My landlady, who is awesome, has had to remind them that I work nights and that my being active at night is normal. But, they've avoided the apartment for the most part since then, much to my relief. I was able to vacuum and scrub litter boxes Tuesday afternoon. Then the MacBook Air started randomly rebooting. Seriously, I wouldn't touch it and it kept restarting over and over. A call to AppleCare and a PRAM reset finally got it working right again.

Interesting day. Feels like it should belong to [personal profile] ickaimp rather than me. *ducks thrown objects*

Finally, I urge folks to take a look at post from [livejournal.com profile] vonandmoggy about a situation that a mutual friend, [livejournal.com profile] kit_a_licious is in. This is very, very bad. Long story short, her boss is doing everything she illegally can to deny health care for Kit and finally slashed her hours so she wouldn't have to pay for it. Kit badly needs medicine to live, but has had to go off of it because she's been given the runaround by both her employer and the government. She has options, but she also needs help.

This was the first time I've met Kit, and she is a sweetheart of a person and an amazing artist. Check out her DeviantArt and Etsy. I bought one of her clay figurines (this one of Beethoven) and she did a gorgeous Charlie Chaplin print that just sold as well.

What Kit, and others, are going through is truly revolting. It's this sort of abuse that really hurts good people who are trying their damnest to earn a living. Thank you for any help you can offer, even if it's just words of support and advice what she can do legally, job openings, etc.

Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] earthstar_moon! *squish* I do love you lots, and I have a gift for you.
