Summary: Once a year, they would allow themselves to grieve -- to go out into the night and long for the taste and feel of each other. It's been 13 years. The pain hasn't lessened. Neither has the devotion.

Spoiler Alert: This fic lies in a universe being developed where Anna survives the pre-game events in Iselia and does her best to continue Kratos's work in his absence. Spoilers mainly lie along the lines of the story arc dealing with Kratos, Anna and Lloyd's past, Kratos's betrayal of Cruxis and his original goals before Anna died pre-game. I also warn you that this is a piece of experimental writing, so the POVs jump quite a bit.
