Megan shops for a desk

"Yes, sir, I'm interested in this desk."

"Very good, ma'am. Anything you'd like to know specifically about it?"

"Yes...what's the total cat capacity?"

"Cat...capacity, ma'am?"

"Yes. I need to know how many cats can sprawl on it at one time. Not just sprawl, but crawl all over it, block my monitor view, sit on top of the printer and/or important papers and basically just decorate it with their sheer prescence. Ah, yes, this has a two-cat capacity. Let's talk price..."

Thus my requirements for a new desk. I liked the one I settled on in Bristol, but I'm thinking now that I may benefit more from a bigger surface to spread things on such as review books...and kitties.

I apologize for being a bit down to some people earlier. This holiday season's turning out to be a bit rougher than I imagined, but not for the reason I imagined. It's not hard because of not being with my family. It's hard for other reasons I care not to go into right now. Though my new boss has been wonderful and the job's been great. Oh, it got down to -3 degrees a couple hours ago. It's currently -1. Me, being a baka, left my camera out in the car. So, provided that it survived its journey into subfreezing hell (I can't venture out to get it because of the snow right now), I'll do my best to take pictures of the new slippers.

The next Harry Potter is due out in July. I was guessing either June or July when talking to cowgirled a week or so ago. This means hat the final book should be out about two years from next summer. Wai!
