It felt like all I did was sleep this weekend - which is what I basically did. I drove down to Knoxville on Saturday to have lunch with Jeff and his best friend, Brent, who's visiting from Indiana. I went shopping, picked up some new manga and headed back to Bristol.
Then Sunday and Monday, all I did was sleep. Of course, that managed to completely ruin any sleeping schedule I set for myself prior to this, but I needed the rest. I also cleaned the kitchen and finally finished a chapter of "Return to You." I think the sleep was in preparation of what's to come.
I got to work this morning to discover that Andrea had her baby. It was a little boy and he was born at 4:30 a.m. today. This means for the next 12 weeks, I get to play editorial page editor. Well, in a way. I'll be doing everything except write the editorials themselves. Steve will be doing that. If everything goes according to plan, Andrea will be back the week after Thanksgiving. Wow, that feels like such a long time aways. But, I'm looking forward to the challenge. It'll be nice to have on my resume - "versatility."
