And, to prove I've actually done something this weekend, here's some more icons taken from screencaps in episode 1 in Rurouni Kenshin:

New stuff!

As you can see, I decided to fiddle around with my LJ layout. I also archived the old icon posts under Memories so folks can see them better. One of these days, I shall attain the LJ layout greatness that [livejournal.com profile] shigure has obtained and will do a customized layout. BTW, go look at [livejournal.com profile] shigure's new layout. It rocks.

I drove down to Gatlinburg and saw Mama on Saturday. I had fun with her and Ronnie. We went on an incredibly long walk through downtown Gatlinburg, looked at all of the touristy stuff, then ate at a great Italian restaurant. I had a sandwich with the biggest portabello mushroom I'd ever seen!

On my way back, I stopped at the Tangert outlets in Sevierville. They were pretty good outlets. I was not impressed with the selection at the Liz Claiborne store, but I fell in love with this one shop called Le Gourmet Chef. It had a Japanese-style teapot and four cups for $9.99 and then a set of two noodle bowls with places for hashi carved into them and chopsticks also for $9.99! YES! I snatched those up and also got a rice cooker when I stopped by K-Mart. It makes really good rice really fast. Now I don't have to worry about it so much.

Go take a look at http://www.animeondvd.com. Chris is starting to put my reviews on the front page now, along with osaka (Ed) and Staxy (Mike). I have stuff under Saturday and Sunday. I read a really cool new manga called Remote that stars a young woman who was a traffic cop and suddenly becomes a detective. It was a lot better than Duxlyon: Clamp School Defenders, the other review that I'm working on that I'm prodding myself to finish.

On the writing side, I've written two more chapters of "Shikon no Go" and finished and sent off chapter six of "Return to You." Now I'm stuck regarding the second fic, and need [livejournal.com profile] kitesareevil to prod me some. Stef! Come stick me with a fork!

MegaTokyo lately has been hilarious. All hail Great Teacher Largo! I loved the reappearance of Boo and Largo miscontruing what he is trying to say once again. I <3 Boo.

The Best Buy opened in Johnson City and I really wasn't that impressed with it. I think it's because it's the same size at the Montgomery store. Still, the staff was nice and helpful and I will definitely be going back to shop there. They have a real anime DVD selection! Woot! And new Inuyasha should be coming out next week to, bwhahaha....
