Okay! So...
I was only going to take half a day of work today. Did that happen? NO. How am I feeling? Pretty good as long as I remain in a vertical position. So here I am, laptop in my lap, controller to the PS2 on my chest as I lie on the couch and chat with folks while playing FFX at the same time. Everyone's been looking after me in their own virtual way. It's very sweet.
A friend of mine from Texas is sending me a late birthday present. It's actually two presents, he said, but they're back-ordered. I never chose anything so he insisted on sending me something anyhow. Isn't that sweet?
I'm still being an uber fangirl over ch. 355. I keep staring at the little icon I made and just giving it a goofy grin.
Let's see...more convergence! Stephanie, from the online division, came out to Jan today and said that WJHL is going to do a 30-minute news special to go along with the Discover Tri-Cities magazine that will be coming out at the end of the month. There will be one of these specials every quarter. They've hinted that I may be going on one of these specials. I know for sure Joe will be doing something.
Bah. Joe. I got sucked into one of his squabbles with the assistant metro editor, Lee, today. See, Big Tom Buchanan from Survivor is from our coverage area and so every week, Joe travels up to Big Tom's home and watches the latest episode of Survivor with his friends and family. Of course, Joe can't interview Big Tom himself because of the press embargo on the entire deal. Anyhow, Joe had computer problems and filed his story 20 minutes after deadline. Lee was in a bad mood apparently because he turned around and told Jan and Susan about it. Joe found out and I spent an hour on the phone today trying to calm him down.
At one point, I'd successfully done so.
Me: Well, what about Chris and....
Joe: Oh, geez, Megan, look what you did. You got my mind off Lee Davenport.
Follows another 10 minutes of rantage.
Joe: Do you think I'm dwelling on this too much?
Me: YES!
Me: Well, you do have a valid concern...
And Joe really does. Lee's grouchy. What is it with the metro editors being so grouchy? Mou....
Welcome to the journal,
deryka! ::glomps Mary-chan::. She is my oldest friend in Dragonrealms. She recently stepped down from her post as a gamemaster. I actually have to commend her for this. It takes a lot of guts to admit that it's time to pursue another path in life. But, there's still lots of good GMs there. I'm sure everything is going to be just fine.
