I got paid yesterday so I went shopping last night. Wai! Except I spent a little bit more than what I should. ::sweatdrop:: Good thing I have plenty of groceries. Udon, soba and ramen diet for the next two weeks! Well, except for the nights that
eagle222and I go out, but that's only once a week. I just don't need to buy lunch at work any longer. Okay, must remember to make a lunch at night! I can do this! Maybe...I hope.
I went to Victoria's Secret and bought stuff there for the first time. It felt kind of weird, almost like a rite of passage. Wai!! I also bought some makeup that will be used when I go on TV. That the company will reimburse me for, supposedly. So I don't feel bad about that. I ate at Sushi Blues and went to Petsmart to stock up on food and litter for the cats. That was also money well spent because those will last me a month. I then considered getting a wireless router for my cable modem so I could use my laptop in addition to my desktop. Sometimes I get tired of sitting at my desk. Then, after more consideration, I realized my apartment isn't that big and I don't need to be carting my laptop into my bedroom. So I went to Wal-Mart and got a $30 PC card to replace the crappy one I used at UA and now I'm sitting here typing on my laptop on the couch. It's a nice change of pace and since the Internet is the only way now I can get stuff OFF the laptop, this enables me to take it around again.
My problem with the laptop isn't the fact that it's five years old. I only use it for surfing on the Internet and the occasional writing session, and it serves its purpose well for it. It's just that the casing is cracked, making it very hard to transport. I got some super glue at Wal-Mart and glued the front facing back on and it's holding up pretty well. I'd like to be able to take the laptop with me to Java J's and do some writing there.
OH!! A coffeehouse is opening right in front of my apartment complex! It's going to be called Cafe Expresso. Heck, I may not be doing Java J's for much longer with a place literally a stone's throw from my complex. Squee!!!
And no, I still haven't watched the tape yet. Maybe today. If not, definitely Monday because Jan still wants to see it.
