Good girl!

I was a very good girl yesterday.

I got the rest of “The Twilight Struggle” plotted and most of chapter 4 written. It helped that a good chunk of it was a short story I wrote explaining youkai society. All I need to do is write the final scene and it should be done! Wai! My favorite part was the scene of Kagome dealing with her frustration over Inuyasha. I tapped the knowledge of several friends who had been in that type of situation before to get it right. Then there’s a little exchange between Miroku and Sango that just seemed to write itself.

They are installing the TV camera of doom in the newsroom today. They just moved our precious page markup table and exposed just how dirty the floor underneath is. They also needed someone to sit in one of the anchor chairs while they got the camera height right. Guess who got the job? Yup, me, since I was in the desk right behind the little TV set. Those chairs are TALL! I had to scramble to get into them, then push it to the right spot once I did. Bleh. My feet couldn’t touch the ground at all and I could slowly feel them going to sleep on me.

Jan asked me about my little problem concerning lack of sleep. It’s been somewhat apparently lately considering I’ve been coming into the newsroom later than normal. To me that’s her subtle way of saying “go to bed earlier.” So I’m going to have to do that. If I shower and get ready at night, I can go to bed at one, wake up at 7:30 and still be at work by 8. That’s six and a half hours of sleep, which is not bad at all. I’m just going to have to make sure I leave the game by then each night unless there’s MASSIVE invasion going on.

Oh, and I LOVE tailfluffgirl for my new icon! After she made one of her recent sets as ushitora_icons, I commented about the scene from the 5th Inuyasha OP of Kagome whirling around, one that really reminded me of Kaoru. She cleaned it up and turned it into an icon! She is absolutely awesome! ::GLOMP::
