Megsie tries organic!
After interviewing and doing so much research on organic foods, I decided to go see for myself if there's a difference. I headed to Kroger's - all in the name of newspaper research of course - and browsed through their selection of organic foods.
I think my poor wallet died.
I unearthed a small, portable size thing of organic chocolate milk and bought some potato chips - since I need something to go with my grilled cheese. I tried the chocolate milk on my way out to the parking lot. It was really, really good. I think I'll try some organic milk the next time I need some. It's suppose to be a lot healthier, especially if it's from a grass-fed cow. Whenever I can afford it, I need to try some meat as well. Then again, anything's better than the sick-looking stuff they have at Wal-Mart.
I'm going to go to the Abingdon Farmer's Market when it opens and try to stock up on produce, etc., then during the summer months. Maybe I can even learn how to can stuff! Then my grocery bills shouldn't be as much during the winner...farm girl Megsie!
