It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I slept in really late, then got up and went to Food City. I went through the deli and snagged some turkey and gravy for $2.50 and stuffing for $1.87. Added some cranberry sauce and crescent rolls and volia! Megsie's first Thanksgiving dinner on her own! Which I shoved in my mouth as I was playing Dragonrealms. And I ran out of milk...wonder if Wal-Mart's open?

Dan Murphy, one of my friends from the CW, sent me an IM with some very sad news. One of my favorite journalism professors, Bailey Thomson, died yesterday at age 54 because of a heart attack. After my first shock, part of me wondered if he had the heart attack in his office. His office was where the founder of the journalism department committed suicide back in the 1930s.

Dr. Thomson was the HARDEST professor I ever had. As a consequence, I got the most out of his lectures. He was also one of the main figureheads behind constitution reform. I'm wondering if the University is going to have a memorial for him. If it's close to a weekend, I'm seriously thinking of taking the time and coming down for it. The state of Alabama just lost one of the best things to ever happen to it.
