Cheerleaders of Doom

savvyliterateLet’s see....the state of the Cat War currently going on at home.
Both Lil’Bit and Peekaboo reacted to Kirara pretty much like I expected them to - Lil’Bit being extremely jealous and Peekaboo not caring that much. He just watched her with a great amount of amusement, like a lord presiding over his domain. As of lunchtime today, I think all three of them are getting along better. Lil’Bit was sniffing Kirara and neither of them were hissing at each other. I just now have to keep Kirara from scratching the couch. For awhile, all three of them were hissing when they got near each other. The best one was when Lil’Bit got in my lap, Kirara chased him off and then she walked off herself. I didn’t know whether or not I wanted to laugh or cry.
Out of all three, she actually likes being picked up and carted around - as long as I constantly rub her. Peekaboo will tolerate it for a little while and Lil’Bit will squirm, then jump down. It’s nice to have a kitty that tolerates her mommy’s need to cuddle her :-)
I’m trying the Atkins diet one more time. Out of all of the meal plans that I tried before, it was the one that I enjoyed the best. I think the main reason why it failed last time was because I don’t think I was eating enough, plus I was under so much stress in Selma that I could not handle it. So I’m going to give it one more shot.
I HATE interviewing high school cheerleaders. Just thought I’d throw that in there. I just got back from interviewing some.
Me: “So, why are you doing this service project?”
Girl: “We want to get more involved in the community!”
Silence.
Me: “So...this is an intresting idea. How did you come up with it?”
Girl: “Well, I was in a talent show and I thought it would be neat to do!”
Silence again.
I let interviewiees go. Said subjects proceed to start flirting shamelessly with frat boy prep-wannabes.
