Fic update: I wrote Chapter 23 and Chapter 24 of “Shikon no Go” this morning. I’m nearly a quarter of the way done with the fic now. I took a look at the word for chapter 25 and I’m on such a roll right now that I may end up churning it out today as well.

I have been reliving my childhood lately. I picked up the Zelda Collector’s Edition disc used from GameStop last week. I had enough credit to get it for free. So I’ve been playing the original Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventures of Link. As much as I like the new games, you just can’t quite beat the old ones either. The original Zelda was the first game I ever won and I still haven’t beat Zelda 2 yet. It’s hard!

It’s also been very amusing. Kirara seems to be fascinated by Zelda 2 especially. Every time I play, she jumps up in front of the TV and tries to capture Link with her paw. It’s so funny to see her batting at the TV. It drives her crazy! Entertainment for the cat and myself all in one package. That’s worth the money spent on the GameCube right there!

Aaaah, it’s been so nice going nomail on the ADI Yahoo group. Not having to deal with those hyenas is worth it. I knew if I continued on that list, it would kill the pleasure I get out of watching “Inuyasha.” I’ve already been through that once with “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.” I do not wan to do it again.

I went shopping on Friday. I picked up birthday cards for various people, a 2004 calendar (I’m cheap - waited for 75 percent off), a couple sets of little notecards (also 75 percent off) and two books. I picked up “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West” and “Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister,” both by Gregory Maguire. I’d heard these were very popular. I browsed through them both and can’t wait for things to settle down long enough to read them. They look fantastic! I’ve also heard some good stuff on them, especially the latter book.

I stopped by the library to do an interview this morning. They have a ton of Shakespeare plays on DVDs now! And the two-disc sets of “Pride and Prejudice” and “A Tale of Two Cities”! Heeee! I know what will be in my DVD player for the next few months. I am such a nerd. ::beams::
